Michael McCleery|President, USA Construction Management

Michael McCleery joined USA Properties Fund as Vice President of Construction in 1988, hired by and working closely with company founder J.B. Brown. Mr. McCleery, one of the first and longest-tenured employees, has played a major role in the company's success. He helped the company transition into an affordable housing developer in 1989, and in (1994­) Mr. McCleery founded USA Construction Management, USA's in-house general contractor for all new construction projects.

Mr. McCleery oversees all construction activities for USA Properties, including estimating, project management, purchasing, field supervision and cost control, scheduling and subcontractor management.

Mr. McCleery, a licensed contractor in California and Nevada, and is extremely active in the community, serving on the board of directors for the Building Industry Association and HomeAid Sacramento, a nonprofit organization that helps homeless families and individuals, including veterans, in the Sacramento region.

He received the California Building Industry Association's Presidents Award in 2004 for his leadership in establishing the Multifamily Council and is a founding member of the Urban Infill and Multifamily Council of the California Building Industry Association.
